RhinoTech announces its latest, most powerful Filtration System –
the M-10F!
The M-10F Filtration System joins the RhinoTech line-up of
equipment focused on environmental sensitivity. The system has been constructed
with a conscious desire to help printers become/remain stewards of our earth
and their own septic and plumbing systems through another efficient and cost
effective method in which to dispose of emulsion and ink by-products.
Like all RhinoTech Filtration systems, the M-10F offers space saving
features to enable it to easily fit underneath a RhinoTech (or most other)
Washout Booth and connect to plumbing systems. With the use
of compatible RhinoClean Green ² Screen Cleaning chemicals that are
eco-friendly and biodegradable, the filtered liquid becomes even more drain
safe.
The M-10F works this way: during the screen cleaning
process, ink and emulsion flow from the washout booth into the M-10F that has
been positioned securely underneath the washout booth. The first of two
filtration chambers fill with liquid from the booth. When the liquid reaches
the top inside divider of the M-10F, it transfers to the second chamber that
houses an auto discharge pump. As the second chamber fills, the pump activates
automatically pushing the liquid out of the chamber and through two additional
canister filters. At that point, maximum filtration has been achieved. And,
only then is the filtered water allowed down the drain.
Utilizing an M-10F Filtration System offers an
affordable way for any screen printing company to meet their responsibilities
to comply with city, county, state, Parrish, township and federal regulations
regarding liquid disposal.

How to handle the irate customer? Check out How to Talk so Kids will Listen & Listen so Kids will Talk by Adel Farber and Elaine Mazlish (the teen version is equally excellent). This bible of child rearing is one of the best non-business books that makes perfect sense in the business world. Read it and you will believe.
One of the best take-aways from the book was how to use the following expressions Uh-huh, Oh, Interesting, Really? I See and Mmm, along with sympathetic silence, during a customer rant. It was astonishing at how powerful these simple little words made it
possible to diffuse/resolve a situation with the irate, unreasonable,
emotionally charged, often loud, unhappy-and-wanting-justice customer in
the calmest, most peaceful way possible. Speaking from experience,
these practical tactics (and some appropriately interjected humor) help
to restore sanity and harmony in a tough customer/workplace situation.
Though we might fantasize about strongly articulating, why you gotta be so mean?, logically, we know that a defensive posture will just be a lose-lose situation. In
the end, what we really want is to retain a customer who will remember
that we tried hard to solve a problem to his/her satisfaction.
Here is an excerpt from a summary of the book …..The more I move
through life and the business world, however, I am struck how the same
techniques enhance communication between adults in all aspects of life.
This book should also be listed in the Business/Management section. It
says all the same things the high-priced consultants say — treat people
with respect, do not deny their emotions, state the facts (only) and
shut up and listen. This book also talks about giving praise and
recognition, which makes it another reason to use it in real life,
inside the family AND outside in the “real” world.
Some tips with tactics from the book:
Apologize and Listen. Immediately respond to the customer problem with, You do sound unhappy,my apologies. Let me help you. (or) I’m so sorry, I want to try and turn this around (or) if all else fails, It sounds like we owe you an apology.
Then…let the customer talk and respond at intervals with, Oh (or) Interesting (or) Uh huh (or) Really? (or) Mmm (or) I See (non-judgmental words) so that the customer knows you are listening. Treat people with respect: actively listen, acknowledge with short bursts of Oh (or) Interesting (or) Uh huh (or) Really? (or) Mmm (or) I See. If appropriate, throw in a that does sound frustrating. As the customer is able to air the complaint, he/she should start to calm down.
On the other hand, if the customer is just becoming increasingly
angry and/or abusive, try to retain integrity and calm and say something
like, I understand that you’re very unhappy and I want to help
you, but at this point I need to put the president of the company on the
phone (or) I need to ask for your name and number so that the president of the company can call you back.
State the facts back: Ask yes or no
questions, only, to get the full details of the complaint. And to reach
a resolution. Once you think you have it, remain sympathetic. State
back the problem and resolution. Gain agreement that the resolution
you’ve discussed is understood by the customer. Say something like: So that we’re both comfortable (another good word from the book), we’ve decided that our company will fix the equipment and you will pay to have it shipped to our location (or) Just to confirm, you understand the step-by-step set-up instructions and you are now comfortable in completing the set-up?
Thank the person for calling; document the conversation point by point.
And be awed at the huge impact of Oh (or) Interesting (or) Uh huh (or) Really? (or) Mmm (or) I See!
Hope this was helpful. Thanks for reading and subscribing!
.......who want to
learn to screen print t-shirts, pillows, golf towels, cards and everything elsein-between in the intimacy of their own homes
and/or studio.
Screen
printing is a natural outcome of hobbies and crafts that involve textile or
graphic arts. It offers an avenue in which to further skill level/experience for fun and/or to turn a hobby or craft into a business. How many of us started that way? I think I know the answer. And how many of our kids are creating/selling t-shirts, hats and more? I pretty much know that answer, too. Either way,
stencil-making is key to printing. And there is a way to ramp up learning and
skill level with a revolutionary stencil-making system by RhinoTech for craftsters and
hobbyists of any age.
Why do you need
a stencil to screen print?A stencil is
the central application to applying a design to the surface of the item that is
going to be printed.A stencil can be
made with specialized stencil paper, a thin sheet of plastic, metal, cardboard etc.
that results in designs being cut or printed on so that ink can be applied
through the incisions or slight open spaces onto the surface.
Traditional
stencil-creation involves a lengthy, drawn out process of using a film
positive, emulsion, capillary film, exposure and drying time. THE NEWEST PROCESS that is RhinoScreen Dry Stencil Film eliminates these steps
enabling a quick and simplified way to create a stencil.
This
system boosts the learning curve for hobbyists and craftsters enabling new
creative and artistic pursuits in a very short time. Engagement will increase
knowledge, skill and experience.And has
the power to fulfill dreams.
Why use RhinoScreen
Dry Stencil Film-CH? It is a highly
efficient stencil making system that expedites the end result. These are the
steps to create a Stencil: 1) create image in a negative format using your own
computer; 2) print the design on a laser printer using a RhinoScreen Image
Sheet; 3) apply Image Sheet to polyester mesh screen frame with your regular
household iron (do not use steam) by ironing Image Sheet onto the screen frame for 60-90 seconds; 4) once
cooled, peel back the Image Sheet that will leave the toner behind on screen
and VIOLA, you have created a stencil; 5) block out surrounding area with
masking or other tape. You are now ready to screen print on the items of your
choice. For textiles or card stock use water-based RhinoAqua Ink from RhinoTech.
And three of the top reasons to use RhinoScreen
Dry Stencil Film-CH is that the paper is recyclable (papers contain no silicone
or organic pollutants); the ink is water-based and biodegradable.
(visitor recuperating after multitude of stickers removed from feet)
Dazzling sand and effervescent, blue/green waters surrounding Sand Cay in the BVI beckon and intoxicate its victims.. rather visitors. While trying to navigate to the beach landing, the waves come close to tossing the unsuspecting dinghy passengers overboard. But then the crazy landing is made only to be torpedoed headlong into the surf and sand where you emerge with a few million particles of the fine substance embedded in your head. Your friends emerge from the exploring the tiny island with a hundred stickers in their feet. Bye bye man-eating island! We won’t be fooled again!
