Consider This When You Want to Start A Business

When it comes to starting a business, the path for many people involves carefully charting a course by following the traditional steps of creating a business plan. In the blog, "So you want to start a screen or graphics printing business", the steps outlined include doing market research; defining financial management, sales strategies, organization and management; how to apply for a loan and more.

AND THEN THERE ARE THE REST OF US
Yet, for a large majority of small and not-so-small business owners, similar to RhinoTech, the "fast track to launch"
was the norm. These are the people that some of wish we were or had been; those that let business plans flutter in the wind and dive head first into building their dream. Which are you?

 ENTREPRENEURSHIP
In "Launching Lean" by Daniel Bortz (Money Magazine, page 40, March 2014), the author outlines what this "lean means". Here it is in its entirely.

LAUNCHING "LEAN". Some entrepreneurs are trading in the traditional business plan for trial and error. This methodology, popularized by Eric Ries's 2011 book, the Lean Startup, is not "rapidly going around the world, " says Alex DeNoble, head of San Diego State University's Lavin Entrepreneurship Center.

What Lean Means. It's a fast-track to launch. Instead of painstakingly researching the market first, you dive into product testing, using consumer feedback to develop a "minimum viable product."
So, if you're making a game for tweens, have kids play with it, pivot based on their reactions, then test again.

When to Skip It. This strategy isn't for businesses that need to come out of the gate with a fully formed product, says Jeffrey Bernel of the University of Notre Dame's Gigot Center for Entrepreneurship. A restaurant, for example, might struggle to establish a customer base if it keeps changing its menu.

How to Do It Right. "The output is only as good as the input, " says Daniel Cohen, director of the eLab accelerator at Cornell Unviersity. so, clearly ID your target customer before convening focus groups. And, set an end date for testing so you don't exhaust resources before you launch.

Another way to digitally print on BLACK and DARK garments w/Jet Opaque from RhinoTech!

In this step-by-step video from RhinoTech, follow our printer in-training as he benefits from learning how-to simply and easily print on dark garments and other fabrics using the amazing Jet Opaque Inkjet Heat Transfer Paper!

RhinoTech offers a Select Paper!
This exclusive heat transfer paper has been designed to transfer inkjet-printed images to Black and other dark garments/substrates including T-shirts, hoodies, golf towels, pillow cases, bags, hats, mouse pads and more. With a much softer hand, it allows for photo-quality transfers with a white base.
This particular paper features a white coating that is actually peeled back and laid down onto the shirt for printing (be sure to print the design in right reading if words are included).
Follow these steps for a Perfect Print!
Trim off any excess white background (or, as you’ll see with the next shirt, add some extra something with a ripped edge – be creative).

Pre-press shirt to remove moisture and wrinkles @ 350 F (adjustable temperature control, too)

Peel design

Place design on shirt

Immediately cover print with parchment paper and heat press for 30 seconds (using adjustable timer)

Slide t-shirt off press and lay flat until paper is cool to the touch

Remove parchment paper -  the colors will POP!

For best washing results, turn shirt inside out.

Jet Opaque is available in two sizes: 8.5” x 11” and 11” x 17”.

Want to DIGITALLY print on DARK garments & fabrics w/BOLD, BRILLIANT FLUORESCENT, CMYK and THE WHITEST OF WHITES?

The new system that makes this type of digital printing possible is the RT SunAngel system  that includes Transfer paper, Toners in our DayBold Fluorescent and White, traditional CMYK and white; Laser printers.

Stunning, 2-step process mimics the simplicity of all RhinoTech transfer systems:

This printing system involves a simple, TWO-STEP process using the A/Image Sheet where you will print on the smooth side & the B/Transfer Sheet with a white coating.

Step 1: Print design with DayBold printer on smooth side of A Sheet/Image sheet in a mirror image.

Step 2: Place B Transfer Sheet in WHITE laser printer to print WHITE portion of design.

Marry the Image and Transfer sheets. At this point, we like to use a laminator to make sure that there are no air pockets between the A and B sheets with the TRANSFER SHEET on top.

After lamination, place sheets on heat press, fold back a corner so that when it comes off press, you can HOT PEEL easily starting w/the corner and pulling back in one smooth motion. Place parchment sheet on top and heat press at 260°, medium – medium heavy pressure for 40 seconds. Next, trim excess paper around design on transfer

The final step to beautiful, eye-popping design results:
Next, place dark shirt on press; place parchment sheet on top of shirt and press
shirt for a few seconds to remove any moisture and wrinkles. Remove parchment paper.

Place design on shirt w/parchment paper on top. Press at 260°, medium to high pressure for 40 seconds. Remove parchment and let shirt cool to the touch (no more than 60 seconds).

Place shirt on press so that you have a firm surface in which to peel transfer. Next, place parchment on top of design. Press again for 20 seconds to make sure that transfer is embedded deeply into shirt fibers.

Remove parchment and watch YOUR RT SunAngel DARK DESIGN BRILLIANCE POP OFF THE SHIRT!
