RhinoTech Shares a Way to Showcase Products on LinkedIn

All of us are continually looking for ways to augment our brands, our SALES and marketing, our Google position and recognition in a competitive industry.

And, RhinoTech is no exception.

We're always searching for new PR opportunities and ways to showcase RhinoClean Washout Booths, our complete line of eco-friendly screen cleaning products, the latest digital printing systems that include heat transfer papers for inkjet and laser printers, ink that is Fluorescent and traditional CMYK, all types of screen printing equipment and supplies and more.

We found this highly interesting and helpful article to share.

Thanks to Brand Love and Lisa Dougherty for the following (excerpted) article, "What the “Bleep” is a LinkedIn Showcase Page and How Do I Create One? (September 10, 2014)". It's another good read and a way to take a leap to profile a company for maximum exposure.

Goodbye to the Products & Services tabs on LinkedIn Company Pages. Say hello to Showcase Pages. What are Showcase Pages you ask? First of all, they are free to set up. Second, they are the child pages to the parent Company Page. Sort of like micro sites or 'niche' pages to your main Company Page.

What's cool about these pages is that they allow you to target a specific audience or buyer and then track how well the page is performing with dedicated page analytics. LinkedIn users can choose to follow your main Company Page and/or follow specific Showcase Pages based on their interest level. This will help clean up their news feed with only content they are really interested in. Key elements for brands that want to focus on building relationships and driving engagement because their readers are more likely to engage in content that is relevant to them.

Read on to find out the differences between Company Pages and Showcase pages, whether or not it would be a good idea to build Showcase Pages for your company, and how to set them up including requirements and design specs and last, but not least, optimize them for SEO.

What's the Difference Between A Showcase Page and A Company Page?
Showcase Pages act as an extension of your Company Page with the following features:
  • A larger hero image. A hero image is a fancier way to say banner image or photo image. Check out one of Cisco's Showcase Pages below. Hero images only link back to your company page.
  • A two-column page layout. Just like a newspaper with top placement for most recent content.
  • Updates are delivered to followers’ feeds across mobile, tablet and desktop devices.
  • An auto-generated, non-customizable Vanity URL exists in the following format: linkedin.com/company/[showcase_page_name]. According to LinkedIn, they are exploring the opportunity to have a customizable Vanity URL available in the future.
  • A more targeted, interested audience to market to.
  • Employee profiles cannot be associated with a Showcase Page.
  • Each Showcase Page has dedicated page analytics. Company Page analytics remains separate.
Cisco: An Early Adopter of Showcase Pages
They do a great job representing their brand with both their Company Page and Showcase Pages.

The Cisco Company Page
The Company Page is a great place to drive brand awareness, promote general company information to target potential customers, press releases and career opportunities.

DIGITAL PRINTING Q & A from RhinoTech.

The Burning Question:
Is there an easy way to decorate garments digitally without the expense of purchasing a DTG printer and a pre-treatment machine?

The Simple Answer by RhinoTech:
Great question! But, first, here is what pre-treatment is and why it is necessary in DTG (Direct-to-Garment) printing.

When using a DTG system to print on dark t-shirts, for example, each shirt must first be sprayed with a pre-treatment fluid. This fluid prepares to receive the ink (toner).  It is a crucial and needed step in this type of printing situation so that each and every print will last and pass the wash test.

Pre-treatment can be tricky when applying the fluid, however, because if too much is used, the final image will start to flake off after the initial wash. If too little is applied, the surface to be printed will be inadequate and the final print will not be the high caliber image sought. Compounding the issue of pre-treatment is that the correct amount of fluid found to work on one brand might not be the same for the next brand of t-shirt, the same or next batch, color or style used. And, finally, cost factor is another consideration.

So…. The answer to the question is a solid, YES. There is an alternative to using a digital printing system that doesn’t require pre-treatment of dark or light garments.
The solution is to use a DIGITAL heat transfer system that utilizes laser heat transfer papers and printers. Time and money saved!

Choosing the Correct Digital Printing Set-Up.

This step involves research, but the following options help reduce decision-making time when it comes to determining the best system for your specific business and space needs. The following digital and inkjet heat transfer systems for apparel printing don’t require any pre-treatment. It’s just all about creating, printing and heat transferring the image to the garment.

With the RT SunAngel DARK series of heat transfer paper and printers, the operator can create vivid transfers for both light and DARK garments simply by printing the image and heat pressing it directly onto the DARK shirt. The apparel/fabric can be 100% cotton, a 50/50 blend and/or 100% polyester. There is no preference toward brand, batches or style.

The final results are sharp, highly defined designs with dazzling colors in Fluorescent color and white and/or by using traditional CMYK + white toners. Because this is a laser system, SingleStep™ heat transfer paper can also be used with this system.

The next option is SingleStep™ that is a weedless, laser paper for white and light color garments. Once the image is printed onto fabric, it leaves no window – only the toner transfers. The resulting design is soft and feels as if it had been screen printed.

SingleJet™ is heat transfer paper used with inkjet printers, only.  This paper involves a simple, refined one step process to printing on white and light color fabrics and garments. Vibrant images result.  You can also print a photo, flat color design text, block graphics or spot colors with this system.

With exceedingly low upfront costs of a digital printing system in tandem with bypassing the several step process involved with pre-treatment and DTG systems, the printer saves time, effort and money.

Want to Boost your Price Point?

Best in show: Designers put colorful screen prints on display for Spring (Marie Claire, June 2014).

A Marc by Marc Jacobs Clutch bag selling for $88 (left), a Zara Top for $49.90 (middle) and a screen printed Dior dress that "brings a casual element to evening wear with a landscape decal (decal - really? on a tank dress
(we're pretty certain that it's a heat transfer).
(OMG - price not listed, so you know it's a big one).
And, the skirt at the top of the page is from Tibi that is selling for $295.

RhinoTech likes the Price Point that Just Exploded!

You have just witnessed a phenom of a marketing effort when a "luxury for less" section features screen and/or digitally printed items that sell for approximately
$50 - $300 or an unlisted amount.
Not only are these prices demanded AND RECEIVED, but transactions
are completed without a wince.

And, for those of us in the industry, this is an information windfall, a smack to the side of the head, bells going off in our collective brains kind of moment. So...here are a few tips to help you get in on that for your own business; a way to demand and get a little more of the monetary reward.

#1 - Add the important, but oh-so-discreet POC (pop of color) to a black and white design. A bit of watermelon, orange/red or a brilliant shade of blue provide the enhancement.

#2 - Add a bit of textile metallic foil in an unexpected place on the image.
Foil costs pennies.
#3 - Heat press rhinestones in monotone on the entire front or back of the shirt on top of the design (rhinestones cost pennies).

#4 - Color block or B & W block with a line of birds on a wire similar to this beautiful image from dimage. Screen print one of the birds in a vibrant color.

#5 - Print or heat press a large image that you created. Be daring and print it onto a Light Blue or Pink (all the rage) Black, Navy, Orange or Red T-Shirt dress.

With each endeavor, you carve out more of a reputation for yourself; for your daring; yet, sophisticated work that will command and secure a larger price point. With each display (marketing) on all social media sites that extend further than screen, digital and graphics printing sites, friends, groups and associations, your efforts expand to a broader market! The reward will be viable and notably exciting!
