You have just witnessed a phenom of a marketing effort when a "luxury for less" section features screen and/or digitally printed items that sell for approximately
$50 - $300 or an unlisted amount.
Not only are these prices demanded AND RECEIVED, but transactions
are completed without a wince.
And, for those of us in the industry, this is an information windfall, a smack to the side of the head, bells going off in our collective brains kind of moment. So...here are a few tips to help you get in on that for your own business; a way to demand and get a little more of the monetary reward.
#1 - Add the important, but oh-so-discreet POC (pop of color) to a black and white design. A bit of watermelon, orange/red or a brilliant shade of blue provide the enhancement.
#2 - Add a bit of
textile metallic foil in an unexpected place on the image.
Foil costs pennies.
#3 - Heat press rhinestones in monotone on the entire front or back of the shirt on top of the design (rhinestones cost pennies).
#4 - Color block or B & W block with a line of birds on a wire similar to this beautiful image from
dimage. Screen print one of the birds in a vibrant color.
#5 - Print or
heat press a large image that you created. Be daring and print it onto a Light Blue or Pink (all the rage) Black, Navy, Orange or Red T-Shirt dress.
With each endeavor, you carve out more of a reputation for yourself; for your daring; yet, sophisticated work that will command and secure a larger price point. With each display (marketing) on all social media sites that extend further than screen, digital and graphics printing sites, friends, groups and associations, your efforts expand to a broader market! The reward will be viable and notably exciting!
